Biography
Paul L Martin is an international cabaret performer with over
15 years experience. He has appeared in such prestigious venues
as The Dorchester Hotel, Hackney Empire, The Pigalle Club,
Café Royale,
Madame Jo-Jo’s and
Café de Paris.
He made his New York debut in 2005 at Don’t Tell Mama,
where one critic named him a ‘British Cabaret Icon’.
He debuted in Australia in 2006 at The Butterfly Club in Melbourne.
Recent engagements have also seen him visit Paris, Edinburgh,
Dublin and Rome as well as travelling extensively throughout
England.
Paul originally trained in musical theatre at Mountview Theatre
School and still works in musicals and on TV. He won Musical
Stages’ ‘Best Actor in a Musical’ Award in
2003 for his role as Syliva St. Croix in the British Premiere
of Ruthless! and created the role of Philip Salon for the Boy
George musical Taboo. In 2007 Paul was short-listed for two awards
from The Ministry of Burlesque and his debut CD, ‘Bein’ Green’ was
released.
Paul is the founder of London’s most prolific cabaret company,
Millionth Muse Productions
(MMP) which he is still very active
in running. He lives in London with his husband and their cat,
JC.
